Terms of Use
Last updated: 14 August 2026
1. Who these terms are with
WIVO is provided by NEX NEXT EXPERIENCE LLP, 5307 Victoria Drive #458, Vancouver, BC V5P 3V6, Canada (Reg. LL03158). These terms govern your use of the WIVO app and this website.
2. What WIVO is
WIVO warns you about speed cameras near your position while you drive. It works from GPS position, speed and heading; it is not a navigation system and it does not plan routes.
WIVO is a driving aid. It does not replace your attention, the road signs, or your obligation to drive within the limit. Camera data comes from public sources and from reports by other users: it can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and a camera may exist where WIVO shows none.
3. Lawful use — your responsibility
Camera warning apps are restricted or prohibited in a number of countries, and the restriction is not always limited to using one while driving.
- Germany — StVO §23 Abs. 1c: the driver of a vehicle may not operate a device intended to indicate or warn of traffic monitoring, nor keep one ready for that purpose.
- Austria and Belgium — comparable restrictions on using camera warning devices while driving.
- Switzerland — SVG Art. 98a: use, possession, import and passing on of such devices or software are punishable.
- France — camera warnings are permitted only as wider “danger zones”, not as exact camera positions.
This list is not exhaustive and the rules change. It is your responsibility to know and follow the law in the country you are driving in, and to decide whether you may install and use WIVO there at all.
By using WIVO you confirm that you do so in a way that is lawful where you are. NEX NEXT EXPERIENCE LLP accepts no liability for fines, penalties, confiscation or any other consequence arising from your use of the app.
4. Account
The FREE tier works without an account. An account is required for a PRO subscription. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential, and for providing an email address you control.
5. FREE tier
The FREE tier is provided at no cost and shows advertising. Its feature set is described on the home page and may change.
6. PRO subscription
PRO is a recurring subscription handled by Stripe. Checkout takes place on Stripe's pages; card details never reach WIVO.
Price. PRO costs 3,99 € per month or 39,99 € per year, billed once for the whole year. Both figures are the total you pay: VAT is included and nothing is added on top at checkout. We account for that VAT through the EU One-Stop Shop, at the rate of the country you live in.
Free trial. PRO begins with a 7-day free trial, and no card is required to start it. The trial is available once per person. If you do nothing, it simply ends and the app returns to the FREE tier; nothing is charged and there is nothing to cancel.
The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
7. Refunds and withdrawal
As a consumer in the European Union you may withdraw from the PRO subscription within 14 days of concluding it, without giving a reason.
WIVO is a digital service, not digital content. What the app shows you changes continuously and depends on where you are, so this is a service that adapts to your use rather than a fixed piece of content delivered once. The exception in Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU — under which the right to withdraw can be lost entirely for digital content — therefore does not apply to us, and we do not rely on it.
You ask us to start immediately, and that has one consequence. When you pay, you are expressly requesting that the service begins straight away, during the 14-day period (Art. 8(8)). If you then withdraw, we keep a proportionate amount for the days you have already had the service and refund the rest. This is Art. 14(3) of the same Directive, and it applies because of that request — the amount is worked out from the days used against the price of the period you paid for, and the app shows you the figure before you confirm.
How to withdraw. Within the 14 days you can delete your account from inside the app and ask for the refund in the same step; the app shows how many days remain and the exact amount before you confirm. You may also tell us by any clear statement — an email to support@wivo.world saying that you withdraw is enough.
Model withdrawal form
You are not obliged to use this form, but you may. Complete it and send it back to us only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.
To NEX NEXT EXPERIENCE LLP, 5307 Victoria Drive #458, Vancouver, BC V5P 3V6, Canada — support@wivo.world:
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the provision of the WIVO PRO subscription.
Ordered on: __________
Name of consumer: __________
Address of consumer: __________
Signature of consumer (only if this form is notified on paper):
__________
Date: __________
(This form follows Annex I(B) of Directive 2011/83/EU, adapted to a service contract — the goods wording of the statutory model does not apply to WIVO.)
Deleting your account always goes ahead, even if the refund cannot be processed for a technical reason. If that happens, contact us and we will settle it manually.
Your other statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by anything in this section and apply in addition.
8. Camera reports
You may report cameras from within the app. By reporting, you confirm that the report is made in good faith and reflects something you actually observed, and you grant us the right to store that report and make it available to other users.
Reports are anonymous: they are stored without any link to your account or device. Deliberately false reports degrade the database for everyone; we may remove entries and restrict access where we detect abuse.
Do not operate the app while driving in a way that distracts you. The report button requires a deliberate press-and-hold for exactly this reason.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, network faults, and outages at third parties (map tiles, payment provider, app stores) can interrupt it. Camera warnings require a working data connection and a GPS fix; neither is under our control.
10. Liability
We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only where a material contractual obligation has been breached, and then only for the foreseeable damage typical of this kind of contract. Liability under mandatory product liability law is unaffected.
We are not liable for fines or penalties incurred through your use of the app, for speeding, or for reliance on camera data that turns out to be incomplete or wrong.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms where there is a valid reason, for example a change in the service or in the law. If a change materially affects a paying subscriber, we will notify them before it takes effect.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
For consumers. This contract is governed by the law of the Province of British Columbia, Canada. That choice of law may, however, not result in you losing the protection afforded to you by the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of the country of your habitual residence which cannot be derogated from by agreement — Art. 6 of Regulation (EC) No 593/2008, the “Rome I” Regulation.
Proceedings against you as a consumer may be brought only before the courts of the place where you are domiciled. You may sue us either there or before the courts of our registered seat.
For businesses. The law of the Province of British Columbia, Canada applies, to the exclusion of its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
13. Severability
If a provision of these terms is or becomes invalid, the remainder stays in force.
